If you will be collecting personal information you need to ensure that your survey and the data collected are handled in the correct way and in compliance with the current data protection legislation. Always remember to check that any servers on which you or your suppliers will be holding information are located within the EU area.
Sigmer treats all personal and sensitive information as confidential and provide comprehensive processes and systems to ensure that such information is fully-protected.

Sigmer is registered under the Data Protection Act as a data controller - registration number Z4931844.
Surveys
Sigmer's survey tools and systems are designed to be secure and to protect your survey information at all times.
All of our surveys are hosted on Sigmer high-availability servers which are located in a secure data-centre with 24/7 physical security for both the servers and the supporting communications infrastructure.
User connections to the Sigmer-developed web-sites are both password protected and encrypted (HTTPS) using 128bit encryption. Sigmer use Thawte SSL123 Domain validated SSL certificates providing 256-bit encryption.
Data Administration
Data transfers and back-ups are carried out only over secure channels by authorised staff.
The processing or storage of personal information is not outsourced to any external agencies or organisations.
Sigmer does not permit access to personal or sensitive information by contractors or temporary staff and all data administration is carried out by employees of Sigmer
.
Sigmer restrict access by Sigmer staff to confidential information and only suitably-authorised staff are permitted access - and only for bona fide purposes.
